Description

A flavorful Asian marinated tuna steak that’s quick to prepare and perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (divided)
  • Green onion (sliced, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, sesame oil, ground ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder, and rice vinegar.
  2. Marinate the Tuna: Coat the tuna steaks generously with the marinade and allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Coat the Tuna: Remove the steaks from the marinade and sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides.
  5. Grill the Tuna: Place the tuna steaks on the hot grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Let the tuna rest briefly before serving. Garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Use high-quality, fresh tuna for the best flavor. Let the tuna rest after grilling to retain moisture.
