Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) green beans, rinsed, trimmed and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) plus 1/8 teaspoon (1 ml) kosher salt
- 2 small garlic cloves, minced or pressed through a garlic press
- 2 1/2 tablespoon (38 ml) s grated pecorino romano or parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 tablespoon (23 ml) seasoned breadcrumbs, such as 4 C or gluten-free crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) sweet paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) dried parsley
- 1/8 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, place the green beans, 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil, and ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt. Stir until the beans are thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the green beans into the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for 6 to 7 minutes, shaking the basket at the halfway mark, until they are crisp and tender.
- While the beans are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the pecorino romano or parmesan cheese, seasoned breadcrumbs, minced garlic, ⅛ teaspoon of salt, paprika, parsley, black pepper, and the remaining 1 teaspoon of oil until well blended.
- Once the air fryer basket is open, evenly distribute the mixture over the green beans and lightly spray with vegetable oil. Continue to air fry at 375°F for an additional 2 minutes until they turn golden brown.
- Move the beans to a serving dish and serve right away.
