Ingredients
- – 1 pound (454 g) beef rib-eye steaks
- – 1/4 cup (60 ml) oyster sauce
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) reduced-sodium soy sauce
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sweet soy sauce
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) brown sugar
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Slice the rib-eye steaks into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a sealable plastic bag.
- In a bowl, combine the oyster sauce, reduced-sodium soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Stir well to create a marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the steak pieces in the bag, ensuring they are thoroughly covered. Allow them to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Set your air fryer to a temperature of 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) to preheat.
- Line the air fryer basket with a perforated parchment sheet. Remove the steak from the marinade and arrange the pieces on the parchment.
- Cook the steak bites in the air fryer for around 6 minutes, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Take the steak bites out of the air fryer and garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Marinate the steak bites for a longer period, up to 2 hours, for a more intense flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar to suit your taste preference.
- Try different types of sesame oil to vary the nuttiness in the dish.
