Ingredients
- – 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- – 1 egg
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) garlic, minced
- – 1 tbsp (15 ml) Italian seasoning
- – 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
- – 1 tsp (5 ml) black pepper
- – 3/4 tsp (4 ml) onion powder
- – avocado oil spray, You can also wipe down the bottom of the air fryer with vegetable oil or avocado oil to prevent sticking.
Instructions
- Set your air fryer to a temperature of 400°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, fresh parsley, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Form the mixture into 10 to 12 meatballs using your hands. Keep in mind, the mixture might feel soft, but they’ll firm up once cooked.
- Coat the air fryer basket or pan with avocado oil spray to prevent sticking, and arrange the meatballs in a single layer without overlapping them.
- Cook the meatballs in the air fryer for 5 minutes. Then, turn them over carefully and continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Check one meatball to ensure it is fully cooked, adding more time if necessary. Remember, cooking duration may differ based on the air fryer model, the size of the meatballs, and how closely they are placed.
- Serve hot with your preferred marinara sauce.
Notes
- Mix ingredients thoroughly to evenly distribute flavors in the meatballs.
- Flip meatballs halfway through cooking for even browning on all sides.
- Adjust cooking time based on meatball size and thickness to ensure they are fully cooked. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
