Description

Discover how to make delicious Air Fryer Sweet Potato Rounds with Cinnamon! This easy recipe will satisfy your cravings for a sweet and crispy snack.

Ingredients

  • 454 g sweet potato – cut into 1-inch cubes (about 1 medium sweet potato)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt – or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) light brown sugar – packed
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15 ml) maple syrup – optional; you may also use honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Place the sweet potato cubes, olive oil, and salt into a mixing bowl.
  2. For a sweet flavor, sprinkle the cinnamon over the potatoes and mix until they are evenly coated.
  3. For a savory twist, add smoked paprika, cracked black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, and cumin to the bowl and stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Arrange the sweet potato pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed, and cook at 400°F for 14-16 minutes, ensuring they are tender on the inside and crispy on the edges. Give the basket a shake halfway through cooking.
  5. If you chose the sweet version, take them out of the air fryer and mix with the light brown sugar. Optionally, drizzle with maple syrup before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Enhance the flavor by adding a touch of chili powder or cayenne to the seasoning mix.
  • Cut sweet potato cubes into uniform sizes for consistent cooking.
  • Customize the taste by experimenting with spices like nutmeg or allspice.
