Description

Discover how to make delicious and crispy air fryer sweet potato cubes with this easy recipe. Perfect for a healthy and tasty snack or side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium sweet potato (200g)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh parsley, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Begin by thoroughly cleaning the sweet potato under running water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Next, chop the sweet potato into ½-inch cubes, ensuring they are as uniform in size as possible.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, place the sweet potato cubes. Optionally, add vegetable oil, which can enhance the golden color, but it’s not required. Sprinkle the cubes with salt, garlic powder, ground paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and ground cumin, then mix well to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the seasoned sweet potato cubes in a single layer within the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 8 minutes. Shake the basket, and then continue cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cubes are crispy and begin to brown. Use a fork to test if they are cooked through.
  5. Move the cooked sweet potato cubes to a bowl and toss them with the thinly sliced fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Consider seasoning sweet potato cubes with spices instead of vegetable oil for a lighter option.
  • Ensure even browning by checking and shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  • Customize the flavor by trying different herbs and spices, like smoked paprika or chili powder, for a unique twist.
