Description

Discover how to make delicious Air Fryer Salmon with Teriyaki Glaze. This easy recipe will elevate your cooking game and impress your dinner guests!

Ingredients

  • – 4 salmon fillets (5-6 oz/140-170g each)
  • – 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
  • – 2 tbsp (30ml) rice vinegar
  • – 3 tbsp (45g) brown sugar
  • – 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • – 1 tsp (5g) minced ginger
  • – 1/2 tsp (2.5g) black pepper
  • – 3/4 tbsp (11g) cornflour/cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and cornstarch. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  3. Transfer about 1/2 cup of the teriyaki mixture into a shallow dish, placing the salmon in it with the skin side facing up. Coat the salmon thoroughly with the marinade. Allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Set the Air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat. Position the salmon with the skin side facing up on parchment paper in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes until the skin turns crispy.
  5. In the meantime, place the remaining teriyaki mixture on the stove and cook over medium heat until it becomes thick and syrupy.
  6. Flip the salmon fillets so the skin side is down, and apply the teriyaki glaze over the top. Continue cooking the salmon in the air fryer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F to 145°F.
  7. Take the salmon out of the Air fryer. If desired, you can add more teriyaki sauce as a glaze. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.

Notes

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry before marinating to ensure full flavor absorption.
  • Adjust air fryer cooking time based on salmon fillet thickness for optimal results.
  • Watch teriyaki glaze closely on the stove to prevent burning while thickening.
