Ingredients
- – 12 oz (340g) salmon fillets
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
- – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) honey
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) rice vinegar
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) toasted sesame oil
- – 1 garlic clove
- – Small cube fresh ginger
- – Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, spicy mayo or sriracha aioli
Instructions
- Take off the skin and remove any bones from the salmon. Cut the salmon into large chunks, approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) in size.
- In a container, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Grate the garlic and ginger into the mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Submerge the salmon chunks in the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let them soak for 10 minutes or, if possible, for a few hours in the refrigerator.
- Set the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil, then arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer, making sure they aren’t touching.
- Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 5-8 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness. Turn them over halfway through and apply the remaining marinade with a brush.
- Serve the salmon topped with sesame seeds and a drizzle of sriracha aioli. Accompany with a side of rice and vegetables or create a salmon bowl. Enjoy your meal!
Notes
- Marinate the salmon longer for a richer garlic and ginger taste in the fridge.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the salmon before air frying for a crispy texture.
- Customize with garnishes like green onions or spicy mayo to suit your preferences.
