Ingredients
- – 3 tablespoons (45 ml) chili crunch
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) rice vinegar
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sea salt
- – 1.5 lbs. (680 g) raw beef, deboned
- – 1.5 tablespoons (23 ml) vegetable oil
- – 4 cups (946 ml) shelled, raw edamame
- – 8-10 green onions, sliced diagonally
- – 3 teaspoons (15 ml) sesame oil
- – 1.5 tablespoons (23 ml) rice vinegar
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sea salt
- – 3 teaspoons (15 ml) black or white sesame seeds
- – Squeeze of fresh lime juice
- – 2 large avocados, cubed or quartered
- – 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh cilantro
- – 4 cups (946 ml) cooked rice
- – Mayonnaise, for topping
Instructions
- Warm up the air fryer to a temperature of 400°F.
- Combine the chili crunch, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sea salt in a big bowl and whisk them until well blended.
- Cut the beef into cubes measuring 1-1.5 inches and place them into the bowl, ensuring the meat is evenly covered with the mixture.
- Coat the base of the air fryer with oil and arrange the beef pieces inside, making sure they are not stacked. If the air fryer is too small to hold all the pieces, cook them in separate rounds. Pour 1.5 tablespoons of vegetable oil over the beef.
- Cook the beef for 6-8 minutes until the exterior turns a golden brown and the internal temperature hits 145°F, adhering to USDA standards.
- Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, combine the edamame, sliced green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sea salt, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lime juice, then mix thoroughly. Put aside for later use.
- Take the beef out of the air fryer and let it rest.
- Put together the bowls by placing the cooked beef and edamame mixture over a bed of rice, and garnish with avocado chunks, fresh cilantro, and a drizzle of chili crunch for extra flavor.
