Ingredients
- 2 boneless ribeye steaks, about 16 oz (454 g) and 1.5 inches in thickness each
- 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
- 1 tsp (5 ml) garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) black pepper
- Olive oil or avocado oil spray
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Ghee, for serving, optional
- Fresh parsley, for serving, optional
Instructions
- Warm up the air fryer at 400 degrees for 3 minutes. Coat both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Mist the air fryer basket with avocado oil, then place the steaks inside. Lightly coat the top of the steaks with the oil spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 6 minutes, turn them over, and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes to achieve medium rare. The cooking duration might vary based on the steak thickness. To reach your preferred doneness, check with a meat thermometer. For medium rare, the steaks should be taken out at 130 degrees.
- Allow the meat to rest covered with foil for 5 minutes.
- Serve with a dollop of ghee and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
- Consider using grass-fed butter instead of Ghee for a richer flavor when serving.
- Enhance the aroma by adding a pinch of dried thyme or rosemary to the seasoning mix.
- Pat dry the steaks before seasoning to ensure a nice crust in the air fryer.
