Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) olive oil
- 3 tablespoon (45 ml) hot water
Instructions
- Coat your ramekin with a thin layer of olive oil to prevent the egg from sticking.
- Add 3 tablespoons of hot water into the ramekin.
- Carefully break an egg and place it into the ramekin.
- Heat up the air fryer by setting it to 350°F (175°C) and allowing it to warm for a minute.
- Position the ramekins in the air fryer basket and let them cook for 5–6 minutes for a runny yolk or 7–8 minutes if you prefer a slightly firmer center. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness to consistently achieve perfect poached eggs.
- Gently remove the ramekins (they will be hot, so use oven mitts or silicone tongs) and extract the egg using a spoon. If necessary, use a butter knife to gently loosen the egg from the edges if it is sticking.
