Ingredients
- 10 ounce (283 g) s ground beef
- 3 tablespoon (45 ml) s tomato sauce, divided
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s quick-cooking oats
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried parsley
- 25 teaspoon (1 ml) salt, or to taste
- 25 teaspoon (1 ml) freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Warm up the air fryer to 355 degrees F (180 degrees C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, chopped onion, oats, Italian seasoning, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just blended. Shape into two mini loaves, each about 4 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide.
- Apply a light coat of cooking spray to the air fryer’s inner basket. Place the mini loaves inside, ensuring they don’t touch, and gently brush the tops with the remaining tablespoon of tomato sauce.
- Cook the meatloaves in the air fryer until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the middle shows 165 degrees F (73 degrees C), which should take about 17 to 20 minutes.
Notes
- Consider using lean ground beef for healthier mini meatloaves with reduced fat.
- Adjust seasoning to taste with additional Italian seasoning or parsley for extra flavor.
- Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking before cooking the mini loaves.
