Description

Learn how to make delicious Air Fryer Maple Glazed Carrots that are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with sweet maple flavor. Perfect side dish!

Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) carrots, select similar size carrots; rinsed, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch (6 mm) thick diagonal slices
  • – vegetable oil spray
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) pure maple syrup
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) sea salt
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • – Fresh thyme to garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the carrots with maple syrup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lightly spray with vegetable oil. Mix well to ensure the carrots are evenly coated.
  2. Transfer the coated carrots into the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes, stirring at the halfway mark.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with fresh thyme before serving.
  4. Set your oven to preheat at 400°F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  5. Repeat the first step from the air fryer instructions above.
  6. Arrange the carrots on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

Notes

  • Ensure the carrots are sliced uniformly for consistent cooking.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer or baking sheet to ensure even cooking.
  • Garnish with fresh thyme for added flavor, and consider flipping carrots halfway for extra crispiness.
