Ingredients
- 2 rib-eye steaks, cut 1 1/2- inch thick
- 5 cup (120 ml) reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 25 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- 4 teaspoon (20 ml) s grill seasoning (such as Montreal Steak Seasoning®)
Instructions
- Place the rib-eye steaks, soy sauce, olive oil, and grill seasoning in a large resealable bag and mix well. Allow the mixture to rest for at least two hours to marinate.
- Take the steaks out of the bag, disposing of the marinade, and blot any extra oil from the steaks.
- Pour roughly 1 tablespoon of water into the bottom of the air fryer basket to help avoid smoke while cooking. Heat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the steaks in the preheated air fryer and cook for 7 minutes, then turn them over and cook for another 7 minutes for medium-rare. For medium, cook each side for 8 minutes.
- Allow the steaks to rest for approximately 5 minutes before serving them.
Notes
- Ensure the rib-eye steaks are well-coated with soy sauce, olive oil, and grill seasoning in the bag for optimal flavor.
- Blot excess oil from the steaks before air frying to enhance searing and minimize smoke.
- Rest steaks for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute for tenderness and flavor.
