A quick and delicious air fryer recipe for honey garlic salmon that balances rich flavors and healthy eating.
Ingredients
- 2 fillets of salmon (fresh or fully thawed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 3 tablespoons honey (maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or lime juice)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 2 wedges of lemon (or lime)
- Fresh parsley, cilantro, or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and optional garlic powder.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, coating evenly. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) while the salmon marinates.
- Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil for added flavor and to prevent sticking.
- Place the marinated fillets in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness. The salmon should flake easily with a fork when done.
