Description

Learn how to make delicious Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Perfect for a quick and easy family meal!

Ingredients

  • – 7-8 bone-in chicken thighs (about 1.5-1.8 kg)
  • – 3/4 teaspoon (4 ml) salt
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • – 3/4 teaspoon (4 ml) paprika
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) roasted garlic powder
  • – 1/2 tablespoon (8 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 1 1/2 tablespoon (23 ml) garlic-infused vegetable oil
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) coconut aminos
  • – 1 1/2 tablespoon (23 ml) lime juice

Instructions

  1. Take the chicken thighs out of the packaging, rinse them, and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Eliminate any remaining moisture from the bowl.
  3. Drizzle the chicken with both types of oils, honey, coconut aminos, lime juice, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Thoroughly combine the ingredients with your hands until the chicken is fully coated.
  5. Transfer everything from the bowl into a resealable plastic bag.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or let it marinate overnight for best results.
  7. Once marinated, set your air fryer to preheat at 400 ℉.
  8. Use a pastry brush to lightly oil the air fryer tray to prevent sticking.
  9. Place the chicken thighs with the skin side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is enough space between each piece for proper crisping.
  10. Air fry the thighs for 10 minutes, then turn them over and cook for an additional 8 minutes.
  11. After cooking, check the internal temperature. Cooking time may vary with thigh size.
  12. If the temperature hasn’t reached 165 ℉, continue cooking, flipping every 3 minutes, until the correct temperature is achieved.

Notes

  • Pat the chicken thighs dry before marinating for better flavor absorption.
  • Enhance taste by adding fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary before air frying.
  • For a spicier dish, mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
