Description

Learn how to make delicious Air Fryer Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and gooey, a must-try for any sandwich lover!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s mayonnaise
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s Dijon mustard, or to taste
  • 8 slices deli beef
  • 4 large slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 dill pickle slices
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Apply a layer of mayonnaise on one side of every bread slice.
  2. Position 4 slices of bread with the mayo-covered side facing down. Spread Dijon mustard lightly on top.
  3. Arrange Swiss cheese evenly on each of the mustard-coated slices, followed by the deli beef, folding the slices to fit, and add dill pickle slices.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, ensuring the mayo-covered side is facing upwards, and gently press to seal the sandwiches.
  5. Set the air fryer to 380 degrees F (193 degrees C) to preheat.
  6. Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray or use parchment paper to line it.
  7. Place the sandwiches in the basket in a single layer, ensuring there is space around each one. If necessary, cook in multiple batches depending on your fryer’s capacity.
  8. Cook the sandwiches for 3 to 4 minutes until they start to brown.
  9. Turn the sandwiches over and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.
  10. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve them warm.

Notes

  • Try using honey mustard or spicy mustard instead of Dijon for a new flavor twist.
  • Experiment with cheddar or provolone cheese for a unique taste experience.
  • Add a slice of cooked bacon to each sandwich for an extra burst of flavor and texture.
