Ingredients
- 1 to 2 pounds (450 to 900 g) baby potatoes, washed, chopped in half or quarters
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt, more or less to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) black pepper, more or less to taste
- 1/2 cup (60 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese, more or less to taste
- Chives, optional
Instructions
- Rinse the baby potatoes thoroughly and dry them completely using paper towels or a dish towel. Slice them into halves or quarters based on their size.
- Heat the air fryer to 390°F.
- In a sizable bowl, combine the cut potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until they are evenly coated.
- Incorporate roughly half of the grated Parmesan cheese into the potato mixture and stir again.
- Apply cooking spray to the heated air fryer, then place the potatoes in the air fryer basket. Set the timer for 25 minutes, and remember to shake the basket every 5 minutes.
- Around the 20-minute mark, add the remaining grated Parmesan to the potatoes and give the basket a shake. Continue cooking for an additional 3 to 7 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft when pierced with a fork.
- Take the potatoes out of the air fryer, garnish with chopped chives, extra Parmesan, and adjust salt and pepper to your liking. Serve at once and savor the dish!
Notes
- For a stronger garlic taste, increase the amount of minced garlic.
- Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella for a unique flavor.
- Add a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper for a hint of heat.
