Ingredients
- – 1 pound (454 g) salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) pepper
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) soy sauce
- – 3 cloves garlic, minced
- – 1/3 cup (80 ml) honey
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ginger, minced
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) water
Instructions
- Set your air fryer to 190C/380F to preheat.
- In a bowl, combine salt, minced garlic, pepper, soy sauce, honey, and minced ginger, stirring well to blend.
- Toss the salmon pieces into this mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly covered.
- Take the salmon out of the bowl, and keep the extra sauce aside for later. Arrange the salmon chunks in the air fryer in a single layer and cook them for 6 minutes, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time.
- While the salmon is cooking, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir this into the leftover sauce and heat it in a small saucepan over medium heat, allowing it to simmer until it thickens a bit.
- After the salmon bites are done, coat them with the thickened glaze and serve right away.
Notes
- Marinate the salmon for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse the fish.
- Remember to turn the salmon halfway through cooking for uniform crispiness.
- Adjust the amount of honey in the sauce to suit your desired level of sweetness.
