- – 2 medium to large yellow onions (450 g)
- – 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
Instructions
- Remove the outer layer and slice the onion into thin circles.
- Pour the oil over the slices and carefully pull apart the rings.
- Arrange the onion rings in the air fryer basket. Cook them first at 300°F for 10 minutes. Stir the rings gently at the 5-minute mark.
- Then, reduce the heat to 240°F and continue cooking the rings. Stir gently every 5 minutes. It will take between 15 to 18 minutes at 240°F to achieve the desired color and crispiness.
Notes
- For added flavor, try sprinkling garlic powder or paprika on the onion rings before cooking.
- Use olive oil instead of vegetable oil for a healthier alternative with a different taste.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure the onion rings cook evenly and become crispy.
