Ingredients
- – 1 sheet (375g / 13 oz) puff pastry
- – 1 small egg, lightly beaten
- – 100g (3 1/2 oz) whole cranberry sauce
- – 200g (7 oz) beef, cut into small squares
- – sprig rosemary or fresh thyme, to garnish
Instructions
- Let the puff pastry sit at room temperature for a short while after removing it from the fridge.
- Unfold the pastry, leaving it on its original paper. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to slice the pastry into either 12 large or 24 smaller squares.
- Spray a muffin tray with a non-stick baking spray. Place a square of puff pastry into each section, gently pressing down the center with your fingers. Coat with the lightly beaten egg.
- Add a teaspoon of cranberry sauce on each pastry square and place a cube of beef on top.
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and cook in batches for around 8 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden, and the beef is cooked through.
- Allow to cool for a moment, then carefully remove from the muffin tray using tongs. Repeat the process with the remaining pastry squares.
- Enjoy them warm, decorated with a sprig of rosemary or a bit of fresh thyme.
Notes
- Try using raspberry or apricot preserves for a different fruity flavor.
- Experiment with chicken or beef for varied taste profiles.
- Add chopped almonds or pecans for a crispy texture.
