Description

Learn how to make delicious Air Fryer Chicken with a mouthwatering Sweet Chili Glaze. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick and flavorful meal!

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) oil
  • 1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (5 g) onion powder
  • 1 tsp (5 g) smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp (5 g) chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) black pepper
  • 1 tsp (5 g) cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) green onion, diagonally sliced
  • 1 cup (250 ml) prepared sweet chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Set the air fryer to a temperature of 375°F to preheat.
  2. In a spacious mixing bowl, coat the chicken pieces with the oil thoroughly. In a separate bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Sprinkle this blend over the chicken pieces and toss until each piece is evenly covered.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
  4. Cook the chicken in the air fryer for approximately 10 minutes, giving the basket a shake midway through. Ensure the chicken is golden, cooked thoroughly, and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C as verified by a meat thermometer.
  5. Warm the sweet chili sauce in the microwave for 60 seconds, then stir it well. Coat the cooked chicken pieces in the heated sauce and garnish with the toasted slivered almonds and sliced green onions. Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks or over rice as a main course, accompanied by steamed or stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

  • Consider coating the chicken in cornstarch for extra crispiness before air frying.
  • Adjust the chili powder amount to match your preferred spice level.
  • Toast slivered almonds in a dry pan until golden brown for added flavor and crunch.
