Description

Discover a delicious recipe for Air Fryer Chicken Bites and Broccoli Combo. Learn how to make a crispy and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a quick and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • – 1 medium head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
  • – Salt and pepper, to taste
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) maple syrup
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Italian seasoning
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika
  • – Salt and pepper, to taste
  • – Cooked rice, and parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix together the marinade components in a bowl, including the specified amounts of vegetable oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, along with salt and pepper to your preference.
  2. Chop the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and place them into the prepared marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it rest for 15 minutes at room temperature or up to an hour if refrigerated.
  3. While the chicken marinates, separate the broccoli into florets and toss them with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Set the air fryer to 380°F. Lay the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, until they are nearly cooked and no longer pink.
  5. Shake the basket, incorporating the broccoli, and continue air frying for another 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Pair with cooked rice and sprinkle with parsley, if desired, before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken longer for enhanced flavor, refrigerating overnight if possible.
  • Ensure even cooking by avoiding overcrowding the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed.
  • Enhance the dish by adding colorful and nutritious vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
