Description

Learn how to make delicious Air Fryer Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and cheesy, a must-try for potato lovers!

Ingredients

  • 454g potatoes, washed and dried (about 3 medium potatoes)
  • oil spray
  • 180ml beef cream
  • 5ml salt, or to taste
  • 25ml garlic powder
  • 25ml black pepper
  • 57g shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices, then coat them evenly with a mist of oil.
  2. Lightly coat the interior of a 7-inch cake pan with oil spray. Arrange the potato slices vertically in a stack inside the prepared pan. If there’s extra space, fan them out. Insert the pan into the Air Fryer.
  3. Cook the potatoes in the Air Fryer at 360°F/180°C for 18 minutes.
  4. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the cream by mixing together the beef cream, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until thoroughly blended.
  5. Once the initial 18 minutes are up, pour the cream mixture over the potatoes. Spread the cream evenly and press the potatoes gently to immerse them in the cream.
  6. Continue to cook the potatoes with the cream in the Air Fryer at a lowered temperature of 300°F/150°C for 15-18 minutes, or until they become soft.
  7. Scatter the shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes and Air Fry again at 300°F/150°C for an extra 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Let the potatoes cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Evenly coat potato slices with oil for even cooking and a crispy texture. Adjust salt amount to your taste preference. Spread cream mixture evenly over potatoes for proper coating and cooking. Allow potatoes to cool for 10 minutes before serving to prevent burns and enhance flavors.
