Ingredients
- – 10.6 oz (300g) beef belly, skin removed, cut into 3 strips
- – 2 cloves garlic, minced
- – 1 tsp sesame oil
- – 1/4 tsp five spice powder
- – 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
- – 1 tbsp soy sauce
- – 1/2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
- – 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- – 1 tbsp honey, or maltose
- – 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- – 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Slice the beef belly into strips that fit your air fryer. Combine the beef, minced garlic, and all other ingredients in a bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly mixed. Let the mixture marinate for half an hour.
- Position the beef strips in the air fryer basket, drizzle with some of the leftover marinade, and cook at 190°C (375°F) for 10 minutes. Keep the remaining marinade aside.
- Turn the beef over, pour the rest of the marinade over the strips until it’s fully used, and continue to air fry at 190°C (375°F) for an additional 5 minutes.
- Move the cooked beef to a chopping board lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Cut into serving pieces and present. Collect the juices from the air fryer by transferring them to a small bowl. If the juices are overly oily, skim off the excess oil from the top before serving them alongside the beef.

- For a more intense flavor, increase the garlic and five spice powder in the marinade.
- Adjust sweetness by adding extra honey or sugar to suit your taste.
