Ingredients
- – 6 medium carrots (about 600g)
- – 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) coarse salt
- – 1/8 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
- – 1 1/2 tablespoons (23 ml) honey
- – 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Warm up the air fryer to 370°F for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, slice the carrots into 2-inch diagonal sections. If the pieces are particularly large or thick, cut them in half or quarters lengthwise.
- Put the carrot pieces into a medium-sized bowl and combine with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the carrots into the air fryer basket, spreading them out evenly. Cook them for 12 minutes at 370°F, shaking the basket halfway through to mix them up.
- As the carrots are cooking, clean the bowl you used earlier. In another small bowl, blend the melted butter, honey, and minced garlic together.
- After the 12-minute cooking period, place the carrots back into the mixing bowl. Drizzle the honey garlic butter over them and stir until they are evenly coated.
- Place the coated carrots back in the air fryer basket and continue cooking for an additional 6-8 minutes, until they are tender and the edges are nicely browned. If the carrot pieces are smaller, they may cook more quickly. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Evenly coat carrots with olive oil, salt, and pepper before air frying for enhanced flavor.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispy edges.
- Adjust cooking time based on carrot size to prevent overcooking or undercooking.
