Description

Discover how to make crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Carrot Bacon with this easy recipe. Perfect for a delicious and healthy snack or side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (1.25 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (0.5 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (0.5 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.6 g)
  • 2 medium carrots
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, and spices in a small bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Use a mandolin or vegetable peeler to slice the carrots into long, thin ribbons.
  3. Put the carrot ribbons into a container and drizzle the marinade over them. Allow them to soak for 15 minutes.
  4. Set the air fryer to 380°F and spray the basket with cooking spray. Lay the carrot ribbons in a single layer and cook for 3 minutes, flip them, and then cook for an additional 2 minutes or until they are crispy. Repeat with the remaining carrot ribbons.
  5. Serve on a plate and enjoy!

Notes

  • Marinate carrot ribbons longer for a richer flavor profile.
  • Adjust seasoning with more smoked paprika or black pepper for added depth.
  • Spread carrot ribbons evenly in the air fryer for optimal crispiness.
