Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (160 ml) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) sea salt
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
- 1 head cauliflower, about 2 pounds (907 g), broken into large florets
- Buffalo Sauce, for brushing
- Vegan Ranch, for dipping, optional
Instructions
- Start by setting your air fryer to a temperature of 400°F.
- In a big mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Pour in the water and mix until you have a smooth consistency. Add the cauliflower pieces and stir until they are well-coated.
- Take the cauliflower florets out of the mixture, letting any extra batter drip back into the bowl. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring there is space between each piece. Avoid overcrowding the basket and cook in batches if needed.
- Cook in the air fryer for 9 minutes. Take them out and carefully turn each floret over using a spatula. Apply a coat of buffalo sauce on them. Continue air frying for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cauliflower becomes dark and crispy at the edges.
- Take them out of the air fryer and apply more buffalo sauce. If you like, serve with vegan ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
- Coat cauliflower evenly with batter for a crispy texture.
- Use a brush to distribute buffalo sauce evenly for a flavorful taste.
- Check cauliflower periodically while air frying to prevent burning.
