Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups (160 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (30 g) cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) sea salt
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
- 1 head cauliflower, about 2 pounds (900 g), broken into large florets
- Buffalo Sauce, for brushing
- Vegan Ranch, for dipping, optional
Instructions
- Set the air fryer to a temperature of 400°F to preheat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and sea salt, whisking them together thoroughly. Pour in the water and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth. Add the cauliflower florets and mix until they are well-coated.
- Remove the florets from the batter, letting any extra batter drip back into the bowl. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring there is space around each piece. Avoid overcrowding and cook in batches if needed.
- Cook in the air fryer for 9 minutes. Carefully take them out and use a spatula to flip the florets over. Apply some buffalo sauce with a brush. Return to the air fryer for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is browned and crispy on the edges.
- Take the florets out of the air fryer and brush on more buffalo sauce. Optionally, serve with vegan ranch for dipping.
Notes
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for extra crispy cauliflower.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to your liking for an added kick of flavor.
