Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 75 cup (180 ml) panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s ranch seasoning mix
- 4 (4 ounce (113 g)) frozen cod fillets
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Warm up your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 5 minutes, and line its basket with a parchment round that has holes in it.
- In the meantime, beat the egg in a shallow dish until it becomes frothy and pale yellow, then add a pinch of salt. In another shallow bowl, mix together the panko and ranch seasoning.
- Coat the cod fillets by first dipping them in the egg mixture, then in the panko mixture. Gently place the coated fish into the lined basket and apply nonstick spray.
- Cook in the preheated air fryer for approximately 8 minutes. Turn the fillets over with care, spray them again with nonstick spray, and continue air-frying until the cod is flaky when tested with a fork, roughly another 7 minutes.
Notes
- Thoroughly coat cod fillets in egg mixture, then panko and ranch mix for a crispy texture.
- Spray coated fish with nonstick cooking spray for even browning in the air fryer.
- Check doneness by testing with a fork; fillets should be flaky and opaque when fully cooked.
