Ingredients
- 2 ahi tuna steaks (6-8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
- Season both sides of the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks.
- Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preference.
- In the last minute of cooking, brush the soy ginger glaze over the tuna steaks to infuse its flavor.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
