Description

Ahi tuna steak seared to perfection and drizzled with a delicious soy ginger glaze for an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 ahi tuna steaks (6-8 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ginger, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
  2. Season both sides of the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks.
  4. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preference.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, brush the soy ginger glaze over the tuna steaks to infuse its flavor.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Notes

Rest the tuna for a minute after searing to allow juices to redistribute. Adjust glaze ingredients to suit your taste.
