Ingredients
- 2 ahi tuna steaks (6-8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Place the tuna steaks in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side for a medium-rare cook. Adjust the cooking time based on your preferred doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, brush the soy ginger glaze over the tuna steaks for added flavor.
- Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
