Description

Learn how to make delicious 6-minute Blackened Air Fryer Salmon Bites that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for a quick and healthy meal!

Ingredients

  • – 4 (680g) skinless salmon filets, diced in 1 inch chunks
  • – olive oil spray
  • – 1 tablespoon (15ml) sweet paprika
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) dried cayenne pepper
  • – 1 teaspoon (5ml) garlic powder
  • – 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried thyme
  • – 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried oregano
  • – 1 teaspoon (5ml) beef salt
  • – 1/8 teaspoon (0.5ml) black pepper
  • – lemon wedges, for serving
  • – chopped parsley, for garnish
  • – brown rice, optional for serving

Instructions

  1. Put the salmon pieces in a large mixing bowl and lightly coat them with the oil spray.
  2. In a separate, smaller bowl, blend together all the spices, starting from the paprika to the black pepper, until well combined. Evenly coat the salmon pieces with this spice mixture.
  3. Lightly mist the air fryer basket with oil.
  4. Arrange the salmon chunks in the basket of the air fryer. Cook at 400°F for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the salmon is cooked thoroughly and has a nice browned exterior.
  5. Accompany with lemon wedges and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate salmon in spice mixture for 30 minutes for a more intense flavor. Serve over brown rice to create a complete meal. Adjust cayenne pepper amount to suit your spice preference. Try fresh herbs like thyme and oregano for a brighter taste.
