Learn how to make delicious and crispy Air Fryer Chicken Bites with just 4 ingredients. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick and tasty meal!
Ingredients
- – 1 ½ pounds (680 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- – 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- – 1 ½ teaspoons (7.5 ml) cajun seasoning (I like Slap Ya Mama seasoning or Tony Chachere’s)
- – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) granulated sugar (optional)
- – ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) kosher salt
- – ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) smoked paprika
- – ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) chili powder
- – ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) beef seasoning
- – ¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) dried thyme
- – ¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- Begin by setting a 5-quart air fryer to a temperature of 380°F and allow it to heat for 5 minutes.
- Slice 1 1/2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and transfer them to a medium bowl. Pour 1 Tablespoon of olive oil over the pieces and mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Incorporate 1 1/2 teaspoons of cajun seasoning, 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of beef seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes. Mix thoroughly to ensure the chicken is well-seasoned.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil nonstick spray. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer inside the basket, ensuring they don’t overlap (you may need to cook in batches to prevent overcrowding).
- Air fry for 7-11 minutes, shaking the basket every few minutes to promote even cooking (alternatively, you can use tongs to turn them over). The chicken bites are ready when they reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F. Serve without delay.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, increase the cajun seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne to the mix.
- Add a tangy touch by drizzling fresh lemon juice over the cooked chicken.
- Customize the taste by trying different herbs and spices like oregano, basil, or garlic powder.
