Description
A quick and delicious pan-seared salmon recipe with a bright citrus butter glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2.2 pounds (1 kg) skinless salmon fillets
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- ⅓ cup (80 grams) of butter
- 2 navel oranges, juiced
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Chopped parsley for finishing touches
Instructions
- Sprinkle coarse salt on the salmon pieces on all sides.
- Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes until it turns golden brown.
- Add the salmon to the pan, placing the top side facing down. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Pour in the fresh orange juice and add the lemon zest. Gently turn the salmon over and cook for another 4-5 minutes, basting the salmon pieces with the sauce.
- Transfer the cooked salmon to a plate. Top with fresh lemon slices and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
Notes
Use a cast iron pan for even heat distribution. Flip the salmon only once to keep it juicy.
